The Bridge
Welcome to The Bridge at Rowdown Primary School, a purpose-built Enhanced Learning Provision designed to support children with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Rowdown Primary is an inclusive and accessible school that provides a wide range of educational opportunities for children.
The Bridge officially opened in January 2025 to serve children from across the Borough of Croydon. Admission to The Bridge is managed through the Croydon SEN Department, and the provision accommodates up to 14 full-time places for children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2. All pupils attending The Bridge have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
The Bridge offers specialised teaching, dedicated support, and a personalised curriculum delivered in a small-group setting with a high adult-to-child ratio. Our goal is to ensure that children feel part of the Rowdown school community while enjoying a varied curriculum that includes art, music, history, and physical education. Pupils access the broader curriculum either within mainstream classes or within The Bridge itself.
