Personal Development
At Rowdown Primary School, we are dedicated to enriching our students' learning experiences and supporting their personal development through a variety of exciting clubs and activities. Our sports clubs, including football and basketball, help students build teamwork and physical skills, while our extra-curricular offerings like board games, cross stitch, cooking, and French give children the chance to explore new hobbies and talents.
For music lovers, we have Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 choirs that perform at prestigious events such as the Young Voices concert at the O2 Arena and Fairfield Halls. Additionally, Year 5 and Year 6 students can join our vibrant Steel Band, where they can develop musical skills while playing this unique instrument. We also look forward to local performances, including visits to churches for singing events.
Our commitment to personal development goes beyond clubs. Year 6 students enjoy an exciting residential activity camp, while year 4 have the opportunity for a day trip to an activity centre. Our Bikeability program teaches essential cycling skills, and activities such as Virtual Reality Days, theatre trips, and dance workshops spark creativity and curiosity. As a Trust we offer special curricular days looking at specific topics within a subject, children from each school are invited to work together to create a memorable day of fun and learning. With regular class trips to complement their learning, Rowdown ensures every child has the opportunity to thrive, develop confidence, and pursue their passions.
