Uniform
We have a uniform at Fairchildes and we ask that you always send your child in uniform.
You can order your child's school uniform through our supplier, Mapac, with free delivery into school.

(Instead of a white shirt or blouse, the children may wear white polo shirts, but not patterned ones).
In the summer, girls and boys may wear black shorts as long as they are of uniform style, or girls may wear blue and white checked dresses.
PLEASE SEE THAT YOUR CHILDREN WEAR SENSIBLE SHOES: School is an active place and fancy shoes are not suitable. The correct uniform is black shoes please, and this applies to summer uniform as well as winter. Boots are not suitable for children to wear all day.
P.E. kit – boys and girls
Indoor games

- Children may wear black or blue sweatshirts and track suit bottoms when appropriate
(If girls need to keep their legs covered for religious reasons then black tracksuit bottoms or leggings can be worn.)
Jewellery
In line with our Health and Safety policy, it is considered dangerous for children to wear jewellery to school, in particular during P.E. and playtimes.
If your child has pierced ears, then one pair of studs is acceptable. Watches must be removed for P.E. lessons.
Hair and nails
Must be an appropriate style for primary school children. Extreme haircuts/styles are strictly not allowed. Hair longer than shoulder length is to be tied back for P.E. lessons and as staff are not permitted to do this, we strongly recommend that parents of younger children prepare them before they come to school.
Nail polish and make up are not allowed at school at any time.
